Local Researcher Unlocks the Key to Curing Cancer

NBC10 covered the news that Carl June, MD, the Richard W. Vague Professor in Immunotherapy in the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the director of Translational Research in Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center, will receive the annual Philadelphia Award this week. Of June's selection for his work leading a team that has devised a new, personalized, immunotherapy to treat cancer, Natalye Paquin, the chairman of the award's board of trustees, said, “It has to be work of such significance that Philadelphians and hopefully members beyond Philadelphia can benefit."
