Hematologic Malignancies Program

Program Leader(s)

Edward Stadtmauer, MD and Nancy Speck, PhD

The overall goal of the Program is to bring together a multidisciplinary group of basic scientists and clinical investigators whose purpose is to investigate ways of exploiting stem cells for novel cancer therapeutics. With this purpose in mind, this program is carrying out a coordinated effort to discern how hematopoietic stem cells develop influences that lead to their transformation, and how they may best be isolated, expanded, transplanted and utilized for gene therapeutic purposes.
