Cancer Center Clinical Trials Scientific Review and Monitoring Committee
This web site contains information and resources for Penn investigators initiating clinical research projects related to cancer. All cancer clinical trials must be approved by the Clinical Trials Scientific Review and Monitoring Committee before activation.

Cancer Center's NCI-Approved Data Safety and Monitoring Plan

Cancer Center Clinical Research Unit
An NCI-approved Shared Resource that assists Cancer Center investigators in the development and conduct of clinical research. The Unit collects, monitors, and analyzes data for intramural and cooperative group trials.

School of Medicine Office for Human Research

School of Medicine Patient Oriented Research Certification Program
Completion of this certification program is required of all School of Medicine Faculty, Clinical Care Associate Phys icians and Physicians at affiliated hospitals who conduct patient-oriented research (clinical trials).

University of Pennsylvania Institutional Review Board (IRB)
The University of Pennsylvania requires that all research projects involving humans as subjects or human material by reviewed and approved by the University of Pennsylvania IRB prior to initiation of any research-related activities, including recruitment and screening.
