A central Pennsylvania man is riding in the annual Ride to Conquer Cancer—which will benefit Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center—in honor of his father-in-law, who died of kidney cancer last year, reports the York Daily Record. "When [he] died, there was no cure for his cancer," said Ken Witmer, who is from Windsor Township near York, Pa. “I want to do whatever I can to help find it." Once the snow cleared from the roads in early spring, Witmer started riding on the weekends to train for the ride in October. "I wanted to do something big for cancer and things just seemed out of reach." Now, Witmer feels like he has the opportunity.
