Sunday’sPhiladelphia Inquirerfocused again on the debate over the efficacy and safety of e-cigarettes and the pending US Food and Drug and Administration’s proposal to regulate the industry more closely. Andrew Strasser, PhD, director of the Biobehavioral Smoking Laboratory, says more research is needed to help answer the myriad of questions surrounding e-cigarettes. He is currently enrolling patients in a study to see how they respond to them. "More evaluation needs to be done before you make a decision either way,” he told the Inquirer.
