It was lights, camera, fashion, and passion for a cure during the Abramson Cancer Center's Focus on Women's Cancers Conference on Friday. Penn Medicine cancer physicians, patients and survivors took the runway modeling clothes by fashion designer and philanthropist Tory Burch to cap off the daylong conference, which included educational sessions for women undergoing treatment for or at risk of breast, ovarian and other gynecologic cancers. The conference drew about 500 attendees, who participated in sessions covering topics ranging from the latest in screening modalities and treatments to survivorship care and psychosocial issues during and after cancer.
