For the first time this year, U.S.News & World Report has ranked the top regional hospitals in 52 U.S. metro areas with populations of one million or more. In the Philadelphia metropolitan area, HUP came out on top with Pennsylvania Hospital tied for number five on the list with Hanhemann University Hospital, and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center at number 12, reported 6ABC. The new rankings identified hospitals that performed nearly as well as the nationally ranked Best Hospitals in at least one of 16 adult specialties.
