For the second consecutive year, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine ranks #2 among research-oriented medical schools in the United States, according to U.S. News & World Report's annual survey. The annual survey of the nation's 126 fully accredited medical school and twenty schools of osteopathic medicine also places Penn in the top ten in the specialty areas of pediatrics, internal medicine, drug and alcohol abuse, and women's health.
