Access to Interdisciplinary Evaluation
An important distinction of Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center is our interdisciplinary focus. This approach benefits patients, since it is the collective contribution of physicians from different specialties that ensures the best possible care throughout the experience.
Penn oncologists are leaders in designing and conducting clinical trials. Along with clinical trials designed and offered only at the Abramson Cancer Center, we participate in many national studies.
The Abramson Cancer Center's Patient and Family Services Program offers a full range of support services that complement the medical care provided. Services for patients being seen at the Abramson Cancer Center include: psychosocial counseling, nutritional counseling, cancer rehabilitation, patient navigation and support. Our goal is to relieve some of the stress of a cancer diagnosis by providing information, understanding and support.
