Overview of Kennedy Health System
The Kennedy Health System provides a full array of healthcare services at its hospital campuses in Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township, and at outpatient facilities throughout Camden and Gloucester counties.
The principal hospital of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Medicine (UMDNJ/SOM), some of Kennedy's acclaimed programs and facilities include: The Kennedy Cancer Center, Family Health Services, the Kennedy Surgical Center, the Kennedy Health Care Center, Dialysis Centers, the Center for Wound Healing at Kennedy, and Kennedy Home Health Care.
Kennedy Health System's Cancer Program
As the only healthcare system in Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties currently a member of the Penn Cancer Network, Kennedy collaborates with Penn's Abramson Cancer Center to offer a full range of quality, comprehensive services for cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, support and follow-up.
Our dedicated team of board-certified surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, oncology-certified nurses and cancer support staff collaborate to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of cancer patients and their families.
In addition to Kennedy's participation in the Penn Cancer Network, professional services for patients receiving radiation therapy at the Kennedy Cancer Center on our Washington Township, NJ campus are provided by Penn's Department of Radiation Oncology. Physicians practicing at this facility are board-certified radiation oncologists on the faculty of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Kennedy's outpatient Medical Imaging Center -- conveniently located within the Kennedy Cancer Center -- offers diagnostic imaging modalities to support cancer diagnosis, staging and follow-up, including: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, conventional radiography, interventional radiology, mammography, and Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT).
The American Cancer Society Patient Center at the Kennedy Cancer Center provides educational and support services for patients. In addition, Kennedy's comprehensive community outreach program offers further education and support to cancer patients, their families and the community.
