At The Chester County Hospital and Health System, "making lives better everyday" is doing more than what is expected for our patients and their families. We are a 220-bed, not-for-profit hospital and we provide top-rated care in cardiovascular, oncology, orthopedic, radiology and women's health from a team of physicians and nurses that are leaders in their field. A host of outpatient services complete the Health System, with physical therapy and sports medicine, occupational health, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, fitness, and ambulatory surgery and home care services. Our level of care goes deeper than the condition and beyond your expectations.

Chester County Hospital's Cancer Program

We treat each cancer patient as if they were a member of our own family. The Chester County Hospital has provided cancer services since 1982. These services include prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, education and outreach, research, support groups and survivorship. The Cancer Program of The Chester County Hospital consists of five operating entities: The Chester County Hospital, Chester County Hematology Oncology, Penn Radiation Oncology, The Women's Specialty Center, Neighborhood Health Agency Home Health, Palliative Care and Hospice. Our patients have the benefit of treatment by an experienced team of cancer experts in a community hospital setting. The Chester County Hospital has been a member of the Penn Cancer Network since 1992 and is among a select group of community hospitals throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey collaborating with the Abramson Cancer Center to provide excellence in patient care throughout the region.

Navigating the Cancer Care Process
The cancer treatment process can be a complex and confusing journey for patients and their families. We have the patient support services in place to help assist and guide our cancer patients and their families throughout their experience with the disease. Serving as a link between our patients, physicians, and services, our breast and cancer care coordinators are dedicated to providing the appropriate education, support and resources to help our cancer patients manage their care.

Commission on Cancer
The Cancer Program of the Chester County Hospital and Health System is a Commission on Cancer approved cancer program, with commendation. We have maintained approval by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons since 1978 and continue to commit ourselves to the Commission's high quality standards.

National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers
The Breast Health Program at The Chester County Hospital and Health System has been granted a full, three-year accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Center (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. Accreditation by the NAPBC is only given to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. A breast center that achieves NAPBC accreditation has demonstrated a firm commitment to offer its patients every significant advantage in their battle against breast disease.
