Young Friends of the Abramson Cancer Center: Cancer Ends with Us!

The Young Friends of the Abramson Cancer Center is a dedicated group of men and women under the age of 50 who serves as the next generation of leadership volunteers and donors to Penn's Abramson Cancer Center. Young Friends provides a forum to become more engaged with the mission of the cancer center and stay informed about the latest advances in prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer. Members are dedicated to advocating on behalf of the cancer center and raising awareness of the importance of philanthropic support to fuel cancer research and patient care initiatives so that cancer ends with this generation!

Making an Impact: Fundraising Priorities

Through personal philanthropy and fundraising events, this committed group will support innovative cancer research that furthers our understanding of cancer and leads to the development of prevention, detection, and therapeutic advances. More specifically, Young Friends will support the work of young investigators and clinical fellows, whose brilliant ideas often go unrealized because of a lack in funding. This support is vital to launching the careers of tomorrow's medical leaders who will ensure that our mission to eradicate cancer will be accomplished. Each year, members will hear from young investigators and leadership of the Abramson Cancer Center and learn more about their research and patient care programs to enhance their knowledge of cancer care and prevention.
