Dr. Hwang's methodological research interests include statistical methods for survival and longitudinal data, with emphasis on population heterogeneity, multistate process, and Bayesian modeling. She has many experiences in applications of cancer research through grants and consulting activities. She is a co-investigator on various federally and privately funded grants for preclinical and clinical cancer studies including breast, lung, brain, and prostate cancer. Her other collaborative areas include health care service associated with hospital nurses, and psychosocial -behavioral intervention program based on pediatric cancer patients.
