Dr. Kennedy introduced the concept of endoscopic sinus surgery to the United States while on the faculty at Hopkins, and has popularized and taught this surgery throughout the world. He published the first report of endoscopic skull base surgery in the US and developed the technique for endoscopic orbital surgery. He is currently interested in further developing the potential for minimally invasive skull base surgery for tumors and in improving the management of sinus disease worldwide.
