Abramson Cancer Center Focus On Conferences

At the Abramson Cancer Center, we know the support of caring professionals can help patients and their families face the challenges that cancer brings. That's why we offer support services as a vital part of our cancer care. Educational programs, counseling, resource materials, and a host of other services help cancer patients and their loved ones adapt to the changes in their lives.

One of the goals of the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania is to provide our patients and families with as much information as they need and want so they may be active participants in their care. To that end, the Cancer Center provides a series of disease specific conferences to educate patients on their particular diagnosis, as well as, address issues of survivorship and long term care including; treatment advances, research efforts and clinical trials, symptom management, complementary approaches, and psychosocial issues.
