9th Annual Focus on Gynecologic Cancers Conference
April 3, 2009
Hilton Hotel, 4200 City Avenue
Conference Chair: Stephen Rubin, MD
For the past eight years the Abramson Cancer Center has presented Focus on Gynecological Cancers, a full day conference designed to address the personal and medical issues facing women with gynecologic cancer, the majority of whom are survivors.
This year's Focus on Gynecologic Cancers Conference was designed to enable attendees to become active participants in their care throughout the physical and emotional journey. Specifically, we addressed issues for survivors of ovarian, uterin, cervical, vaginal and vulvar cancer. Our speakers, who are experts in the field of gynecologic oncology and radiation oncology, discussed the critical issues for those who are newly diagnosed, those finishing treatment, those with advanced cancer, and long term survivors. Our speakers provided critical information about current and future treatment options.
