Et-Tsu Chen, MD's expertise in Radiation Oncology is an exciting addition to the Abramson Cancer Center Penn Medicine Valley Forge. Her clinical expertise includes breast conservation treatment for early stage breast cancer as well as multidisciplinary treatment of GI cancers. Dr. Chen has been a part of Penn Medicine since 1997 and has acted as the Director of Radiation Oncology at The Cancer Center at Phoenixville Hospital since 2007.
Julia C. Tchou, MD, PhD, focuses exclusively on the interdisciplinary management of patients with breast cancer including coordinating pre-operative evaluation, surgery and post-operative care of women with benign and malignant breast diseases. Her research focuses on the breast cancer tumor microenvironment, cancer stem cell biology, and development of new therapeutic targets for breast cancer. Dr. Tchou has published several studies on various aspects of cancer in leading, peer-reviewed journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Biochemistry, the Journal of Biological Chemistry, the International Journal of Oncology, and the British Journal of Radiology.
